i just love it when clients choose me over and over again to photograph their family. i have been the photographer for this family since their oldest was 3 months old! i was just over-the-moon excited when they shared that their family would be expanding and i would get to play a part in that (see it here)
time has just flown by and now it’s lily’s 4 month session. we knew that we wanted to recreate this image from big sister’s 3 month session with lily since i still owned that same quilt and mom still had that same bow. she’s planning on doing a gallery wall and it’s going to look so cute when it’s done.
for this session, mom also wanted to do a little outdoor bubble bath fun and i just happened to have the most perfect galvanized tub! lily was just a little too small for it though so we didn’t get very many with her in the tub…but big sister absolutely LOVED it and completely stole the show … it was soooo cute! i’m definitely going to have to do the tub sessions again in the future!
i told her last night that every session i do with her babies is my new favorite session. i truly don’t know how we are going to top this one!
and these were taken at the same location as the pregnancy reveal session here and lucy’s 6 month session. i love getting these little sunflower sessions every year because i know that will look so great when showcasing past sessions with new sessions to create a gallery wall.

i’m pretty sure that we got that pouty face in the image above when mom was telling her that it was time to get out and go home. so pitiful

i’m already counting down to when we get to do lily’s next session. it’s just crazy how fast they grow and how much they’ve already changed since lily’s newborn session.

my beautiful friend bethany, of bethany ann photography, is pregnant with her first child….a sweet baby boy… and because we are photographers, it only makes sense to have TWO maternity sessions. an early one (this session) and a late one (soon to be scheduled)
since she moved away from me *insert super sad face*, i don’t get too many chances to see her growing baby bump (and take pictures of it)…BUT it just so happened that i had a client dying to do a session at pinkerton park in franklin which is sorta close to b’s new home, so i called her up and told her that she should totally come after my session to get some pre-maternity maternity pictures! it worked out perfectly! she got some photos and i got to hang out with my friend for a bit.

seriously! so photogenic!

pinkerton park was just perfect! it is such a beautiful park and you should check it out if you’re ever in franklin. they have the COOLEST playground area for kids!

i tried not to bombard this post with too many pictures since we will be doing another session once baby boy is around 32 weeks….and i can’t wait!

the other day, my friend and i were tasked with creating the perfect christmas card photo containing her, her husband, and their two high energy boys (ages 4 and 2)
we knew that the session would be very short {due to the lack of attention spans of said high energy boys} and the main goal was to have everyone looking at the camera…smiles were bonuses
let’s just say that i can be pretty crazy at a photo session….if i have to. lots of jumping, high energy, strange noises and sounds….all to keep the attention of small childrens so that they don’t go running off to play in the leaves
which leads me to playing in the leaves….
we managed to get that perfect christmas card photo….pretty quickly, i might add {because i’m super awesome and amazing} and while me and momma were taking a break…her hubs started piling up the leaves…
which led to this

sometimes the grown ups just want to act like kids and jump in a big, huge, pile of leaves
and i . love . it .
i encourage you to jump in a big pile of leaves before the cold of winter gets here and you just don’t even want to leave the house!

today i got to meet the absolutely adorable exum family for a mini fall session and i must say….i loved them
M and S are hilarious and we had such a good time that our 30 min session ran to almost an hour with a little adventure at the end (that shall remain between us!)
i hope you love these sneak peeks and don’t forget to jump over to Facebook and “like” j. photography to keep updated on when the rest of the images from this session are done!

as allison and michael are celebrating their one month marriage anniversary, i am uploading their wedding images and i am so happy to finally be sharing them!!
we started out the wedding day at michael’s father’s house in nashville. his home was absolutely stunning and it was the perfect location to capture the getting ready, bridal party, and first look images. the ceremony and reception took place at Events @ 1418 and it was sooooo gorgeous and the staff was amazing to work with!
allie and michael were such a joy to work with from start to finish. i absolutely loved their engagement session images that we were able to capture in downtown nashville and now i can’t wait for them to see all of their wedding images.

i would like to give a HUGE thank you to my amazing second shooter, bethany ann photography, for helping me capture these amazing images.

One of the best things about a photograph is that it can take you right back to a moment in time –– right back to the love and joy you felt when that image was taken. My goal is to freeze all those beautiful moments, whether it's welcoming a brand-new baby or capturing the love and connection of your family. During sessions, I am the ultimate tickle monster, giggle maker, and baby whisperer. My family sessions are play-based and fun, while my newborn sessions are gentle and relaxed, allowing for sweet, natural moments to unfold. No matter the occasion, I always strive to capture you authentically.
