OH. MY. WORD!
So, I got to be a part of something super exciting and fun! I was contacted a few weeks ago to photograph an engagement party at one of my favorite venues, The Belle Hollow. Little did I know… it was a SURPRISE WEDDING!! I arrived at the venue early and when a man walked in, dressed ready for photos, I asked if he was the “groom-to-be” and he said “shhhh, it’s a secret.” I think I had a little look of confusion on my face because he then said “nobody knows”. I think the next thing I said was “but they know you’re engaged, right?” and he said “yea, but they don’t know we are getting married”
I’m pretty sure, that at this point, I was making the classic stupid-confused face. It seriously makes me laugh out loud to think about it. Chas, the groom to be, then went on to tell us that they were going to surprise everyone and get married at their “engagement party”. HOW FUN!!!
I’ve never been involved in a surprise wedding and it was just an amazing night! Their parents didn’t even know!!! I got an amazing photo of the moment that Casey’s mom found out that she was about to see her daughter get married!
Their ceremony was so so sweet. I had to hold back sweet tears for them a few different times. I may have just met this couple tonight, but I felt that this type of wedding fit them so well and was so perfect for them. I can’t wait to show them all the photos, but for now, I hope they enjoy my favorites that I was able to edit tonight.
Casey and Chas, I wish you long and loving lives together!

i just love this engagement session so much! allyssa and josh are a blast and we had so much fun exploring downtown clarksville and rotary park for their engagement session. we had the most PERFECT fall day for their engagement session. it was 70 degrees and the leaves at rotary park were so beautiful. i cannot wait to shoot their wedding next summer. i’ve seen photos of the wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses and they. are. gorgeous!! i know that it’s going to be a stunning wedding from the details that allyssa has shared with me. below are just a few of my favorites from their engagement session and a link to the full gallery will be at the bottom of this post!

this couple! they were an absolute joy to photograph and it doesn’t take long to see how great they are together. we had such a great time shooting their engagement session at my sister’s mansion apartment (i like to call it “katie’s castle”). just a little background, alicia and i went to high school together in west tennessee and had not seen each other since graduation. we connected via facebook a few months back and alicia saw some of my photography work. she messaged me and let me know that she was getting married soon and wanted to see if i would be able to shoot their engagement photos. they didn’t need me for the wedding since they are getting married somewhere pretty amazing if you ask me (i’m not sure if it’s a secret or not so my lips are sealed), but i am honored that she asked me to take the engagement photos. below are just a few of my favorites from the session and if you want to see all of the images from their session, just click on the link at the end of this post.

i just love this beautiful gravel driveway. just perfect!

alicia’s eyes are just stunning! just the prettiest blue….is it weird to say that i hope their future children have her eyes? because i totally do

they are just so cute!

just look at that beautiful ivy covered brick! so. dreamy! and i always get a little jealous that my sister gets to live here whenever i come to visit.

i just love her engagement ring…i was practically drooling over it! just the classic perfect size and shape.

i hope you enjoyed this session as much as i do! it’s definitely on my list of favorites

fair warning…. you are about to be overloaded with images of kelly and rob’s engagement session.
we did the entire session at liberty park in clarksville, tn and it was just perfect. we wanted to make sure that we incorporated some of the things that both kelly and rob love: their dogs, fishing, and the big orange. we had so much fun that we just kept shooting until the sun went down. rob seriously cracked me up the entire session!! i hope that you love their session as much as i do!

how CUTE are those little matching bandanas on the dogs?!

they are precious! i am a BIG fan of incorporating pets into your engagement session…they’re a part of the family too!

i think that the one with them holding hands is one of my absolute favorites!!

One of the best things about a photograph is that it can take you right back to a moment in time –– right back to the love and joy you felt when that image was taken. My goal is to freeze all those beautiful moments, whether it's welcoming a brand-new baby or capturing the love and connection of your family. During sessions, I am the ultimate tickle monster, giggle maker, and baby whisperer. My family sessions are play-based and fun, while my newborn sessions are gentle and relaxed, allowing for sweet, natural moments to unfold. No matter the occasion, I always strive to capture you authentically.
