i just cannot say enough good things about this family! i absolutely love them and i am so blessed to call them part of my own. we did this entire session at port royal state park near clarksville, tn and it was so perfect for the outfits that makenzie had planned. aren’t they just adorable…makenzie envisioned an almost vintage feel with creams and whites for the color pallet. i think that the family session turned out so well and the kids were just so well behaved that it made my job so easy! makenzie and adam have done such a beautiful job raising them and have set such a good example for me and houston….when we eventually have a kiddo of our own. i hope that you love their session as much as i do!

aren’t they just the most beautiful family that you’ve ever seen. they were one of my first “sessions” and when i look back at those images, i can see how far i have come as a photographer. one of these days, i’m going to go back to those images and re-edit them with my current editing style. i almost cringe at how much i over edited those first sessions of mine. it just goes to show you that you will never stop learning and growing as a photographer.
i would love it if you would pop over to my facebook page and “like” j. photography to see all of the latest work that i am doing. sadly, i do NOT get this blog updated enough.

I was so thrilled when my cousin-in-law offered up her family to let me try out my family session skills…..I’m not so sure her husband was as exited as we were, but I’m sure he will cherish these photos for years to come.
seriously…how gorgeous is this family
this photo was all about perfect timing…. Adam had literally just said “She must know I hate holding hands” then they look at each other and laugh…..that’s why i love being a photographer…i get to catch those moments

this little man did NOT like me taking his picture…he definitely made me work for it that day
on the other hand…. this little man was a photo HOG…. he loved being in front of the camera!
she has the most beautiful eyes and freckles
i have more of this session posted on my facebook fan page and if you like my work I would love it if you would become a fan

One of the best things about a photograph is that it can take you right back to a moment in time –– right back to the love and joy you felt when that image was taken. My goal is to freeze all those beautiful moments, whether it's welcoming a brand-new baby or capturing the love and connection of your family. During sessions, I am the ultimate tickle monster, giggle maker, and baby whisperer. My family sessions are play-based and fun, while my newborn sessions are gentle and relaxed, allowing for sweet, natural moments to unfold. No matter the occasion, I always strive to capture you authentically.
