i knew from the beginning that i was going to love this session with the meinen family. tara had an amazing vision for her 10 year anniversary vow renewal session. she wanted a beautiful bohemian styled session that captured their love for each other and the love that they have for their four children. it was very intimate and i feel so privileged that chose me to be their photographer.

we did their entire session at port royal state park near clarksville, tn

tara handmade the flower crowns that she and her girls wore and her beautiful dress came from anthropologie

i just love this session so much! if you are interested in seeing all of the images from the meinen’s 10 year anniversary shoot, just click on this link.

i just cannot say enough good things about this family! i absolutely love them and i am so blessed to call them part of my own. we did this entire session at port royal state park near clarksville, tn and it was so perfect for the outfits that makenzie had planned. aren’t they just adorable…makenzie envisioned an almost vintage feel with creams and whites for the color pallet. i think that the family session turned out so well and the kids were just so well behaved that it made my job so easy! makenzie and adam have done such a beautiful job raising them and have set such a good example for me and houston….when we eventually have a kiddo of our own. i hope that you love their session as much as i do!

aren’t they just the most beautiful family that you’ve ever seen. they were one of my first “sessions” and when i look back at those images, i can see how far i have come as a photographer. one of these days, i’m going to go back to those images and re-edit them with my current editing style. i almost cringe at how much i over edited those first sessions of mine. it just goes to show you that you will never stop learning and growing as a photographer.
i would love it if you would pop over to my facebook page and “like” j. photography to see all of the latest work that i am doing. sadly, i do NOT get this blog updated enough.

M and S are hilarious and we had such a good time that our 30 min session ran to almost an hour with a little adventure at the end (that shall remain between us!)
i hope you love these sneak peeks and don’t forget to jump over to Facebook and “like” j. photography to keep updated on when the rest of the images from this session are done!

One of the best things about a photograph is that it can take you right back to a moment in time –– right back to the love and joy you felt when that image was taken. My goal is to freeze all those beautiful moments, whether it's welcoming a brand-new baby or capturing the love and connection of your family. During sessions, I am the ultimate tickle monster, giggle maker, and baby whisperer. My family sessions are play-based and fun, while my newborn sessions are gentle and relaxed, allowing for sweet, natural moments to unfold. No matter the occasion, I always strive to capture you authentically.
